#onemillionwords Challenge

No, I’ve never been one to look away from a challenge, even during a year when this might be more of an uphill challenge. But something I’ve discovered about challenges: they’re really good for giving you a kick in the ass that you might not have otherwise received. It’s the same reason why I participate in NaNoWriMo (and its two, off-season camps) every year.

Granted, at the time of writing this, I’ve been at it for a little over two months. And in that time, I have 115,000 words completed. That doesn’t put me anywhere near 1,000,000 words for the year, but it’s gotten me through some tough moments when editing and revising was one hell of a slog.

These are the books I want to finish this year:

On top of that, I also have a short novella planned for a charity anthology. Will I finish this all? Probably not.

But half the fun is in the journey!
